Can't find a red sport manual fit in San Diego...Any help???

Hi I'm new to this forum and I just sold my 2002 Toyota Tacoma, I'm ready to buy a Fit and have been trying to find the red manual sport one. I really need to get one asap. Please anyone know where they may have one or how long it takes to get one in?? What other color would you suggest if I can't get red?? Thanks again!

Check Holmes Honda in Shreveport, LA at Holmes | Shreveport Honda Dealers | Honda Longview Texas | Honda Texarkana | Honda Monroe LA | Honda Bossier City | Louisiana New Honda Dealership. Last I checked, they had 3 MT Fit Sports (Milano Red, VBP, and NHBP.) Sure, it's not close to San Diego, but if you have to have an '08 MT you might have to look beyond CA.

I'm pretty sure someone said that they were told buy a Honda dealer that there was only going to be one or two more shipments of Fits before the 2009's start coming in. Chances are you're gonna have to search like hell to find one, especially one that's not already claimed.

well samwell and burbio have been saying that i am selling my fit. which is true.

good luck finding a brand new red fit. i would check escondido honda, poway honda, and pacific honda for new fits.

mine is in pretty good condition. i have only had it for a year. the mileage is a bit high 17k. but thats because i drove to san franscico and back for my grandfathers funeral and all the car meets in la.

i have a fs thread in the classifieds section.

if your interested in my fit please pm.
there is a guy in wa, that is also interested...but he still needs to sell his vehicle.

let me know man, or if i can help

I might end up getting the blue one that they have at the Honda right near my house. Thanks a lot for the help though.
I'm just pretty set on wanting it new. I really like the black one but I've had a black car and would rather have a fun color. I think I would look good in red but blue will do.

Long Beach Honda had a new 2008 Red MT Sport the other day when I was there.

Just so you know they are not very negotiable and have a $750 markup and some accessories added. I wasn't able to get them lower than $17.9k OTD...so we walked.

FWIW...I ended up going through Costco to get mine.

I think the Costco deal was the invoice + 250 or summat? It wasn't a bad deal, but somehow at Santa Ana Honda, I got it for much cheaper. I wanted MR as well and they said they had it, offered it for (I think) 15.7K, we went, the guy then realized the car wasn't sold but someone had claimed it, and then he offered a SSM one that was still in all the plastic and in the back, dirty and fresh off the boat with 3 miles on it. :] He sold it to us for the price he offered for the MR.

Honestly I think the Fit is literally the only car I wouldn't mind getting in any color. Just looks amazing in all of 'em. In the long run though I can see SSM being the best choice, so I'm happy with it.

If you don't mind the color, you may want to call up Santa Ana Honda (kinda far but DGAF). They have to meet a certain amount of cars sold each month rather than having to make a certain amount of money so towards the end of each month they're practically throwing away their cars.

The best buying experience as well, it won't get any friendlier/nicer.

Actually, the Fit, along with the Civic Si, are both not included at the special Costco pricing (at least here in SoCal). All the civics are $400 over invoice just to give an idea of pricing. But, it was so much more pleasant dealing with the Fleet Manager as opposed to going through the regular salesman B.S.

Good luck!

They had the Costco pricing for the Fit... Honda World off the top of my head has it. The Fit (I believe) was 250 bucks over invoice while from what my dad and I observed, the rest of the cars were for 500 bucks over invoice. The Fit's a killer deal through Costco unless you get lucky like me.

That's interesting because I am in the process of purchasing through Honda World of Downey and I saw the price list...the Fit and Civic Si are not included. When did you buy?

its really up to the dealership if they want to honor that pricing.

It was Honda World in Westminster, and it was in April.

if you're set on the red mt sports and san diego dealers do not have them, i recommend you call all socal dealers and see if any are in stock. if that doesnt work. head up to norcal and check dealers here. the drive might be a bit long, but a day of driving should settle in the break in period. drive a bit and save some $$ and get the car that you want. fit 09 are coming soon and 08 production has stopped or will stop. act fast or the color/trim that you want will be very hard to find.

u can get them for invoice up in norcal. don't let dealer play the gas price game or how it flies off the lot the moment they're in.

dealers make up shit to squeeze money out of you. never ever let a dealer bully. all cars can be purchased at invoice if u don't let them play u.
