Exhaust Tip differs from pictures on Honda site
Ok, let me see if I can explain this right. First of all, this is my first post. We just purchased an 08 Fit Sport from out local dealership this past Friday evening. Anyway, I noticed one thing. According to the pictures on Honda's website, the regular Fit has a tailpipe that curves downward, and is not chrome. But, the Fit has a tailpipe that goes straight, and appears to have a chrome tip on it. My Fit Sport has the same pipe pictured for the regular Fit. Am I missing something? I know it's petty, but it bothers me. Thanks.

i dont get what you are saying...the fit comes with just a muffler that curves down. they do sell "muffler tips" that make it seem to go straight out? as far as i know all the fits come with the tip that curves down, unless you buy a tip or get an aftermarket axel back exhaust.

I vagely understand what your talking about, but I'll try to answer your question.. All Fits (Base, LX, Sport, etc.) come with a plain straight pipe with a slight turn down on it. On various Honda accessory sites there is a chrome slip on that attaches to the stock tip and a HFP muffler which is an axle back and features a oversized polished stainless tip.
Welcome to the site and I hope this answers your question. :wavey: |
If you look at the 2 different models on the Honda site, it shows a different exhaust tip for each one.

It sounds like you're seeing the HFP muffler, which is not sold on the car you have to purchase it as an accessory.
|
yep based off of your discription it sounds like the HFP muffler

I noticed this aswell, in some pics they have the optional HFP(Honda Factory Performance)exhaust on the pictured Fit.
This is just an option, not standard on any model. Tyler |
