How have you modified your NEW Fit. (or Fit Sport)

I was wondering how and what people are doing to their NEW 07 Fits (or Fit Sports).

I have tried one little mod but it didn't pan out.
I wanted to switch the rear turnsignal and backup lights so that the turn signal is on the outside of the car. A simple mod I thought I could do ina few minutes. Well it turns out that the plastic piece that holds the light into its socket are shaped differently for the back lgiht and the turn signal.

Darn I actually did no modifying, but I wanted to. The spirit is in the right place.

So now what have you done?

This is for the big tall guys.

I've made a few minor changes to make my car fit me, not the other way around. The first thing I did was attach foam tape over the left armrest and on the drivers side of the console. My left elbow was getting almost raw from the hard plastic and what were they thinking when they put that sharp ridge down where my right leg kept rubbing.

I used an old lockable gas cap from my 82 Celebrity. I filled in the huge mud collectors in the front of the rear wheel wells. I made my own arm rest. Attached door bumper strips. Painted the center of the plastic wheel covers black. I adjusted the gas pedal to get away from the instep leg cramps. Also added a foam seat to the driver's to get away from the lumbar support. (Salesman warned me NOT to put any seatcovers on the front seat backs because of the side airbags in the backs.)
I added a rubber strip to protect the rear bumper.

Next I am working on a detachable wire mesh for the grille to keep huge bugs out of the rad. Turn signal lights on the mirrors. And a european horn.

I know the young guys will joke about these changes, what with their mods to the wheels, springs and such. I just enjoy my first new car in 25 years and it feels just like my 1980 Citation X11 2dr. sport model. Drive and enjoy.

Later when parts become available I might start making other mods.

Im starting off with the little stuff first since some of the major aftermarket parts currently are a bit sketchy for the NA Fit. Raybrig headlight bulbs, LED parking and blinker bulbs, JDM LED Third brake light, Razo 480g counterweight shift knob. Cusco front and rear OS type stb's, Cusco front lower arm bar, J's Racing C-pillar bar. Thats about it for now.

willmax11 -- Can you tell me more about the gas pedal mod? I was contemplating this myself but wasn't sure what I could manage to adjust. Also, what did you do to fashion your own armrest? Thanks!

Want to know where can get mod

Seem like people getting crazy on the Fit. I want to get the exhaust system. Does anyone know where I can get that? I will install the HID Fog Light next week. The car is going to look so awsome at night.

Yes, please tell us, I'd like to know as well since it's my only complaint really on the whole car.

can you point me somewhere that tells you how to do this? im thinking im going to take off the "fit" badge (i think the name of the car is my biggest gripe so far) and possibly put on the jazz badge. Still kind of a dumb name for a car, imo, but i play jazz so at least it "fits" for me...

I have my Jazz badge on order, too!!

My car is due 5/16-5/20 at my dealer. I'll put the Jazz badge on, and have them remove the Fit badge, before I leave the lot!!

That way they can say that the delivered a Jazz rather than a Fit.

Oh, I'm getting the locking gas cap, carpet floor mats, and cargo cover.
