48. Brand new (only 150 miles on it) Sport AT in Vortex Blue.

I've only owned two cars in my life. A 1984 Datsun Pulsar NX that I inherited in '93 and a 1997 Civic DX coupe that I got used in 2000.

I basically like to drive my cars into the ground.

I'm 23. Just bought a new dark blue base manual. I drove a 91 CRX for about 2 years before I bought the fit.

Not a waste of money if you consider it a hobby of some sort. It's like how you spent the money on buying a mugen si. But welcome to fit club

Yea, the mugen is pricey but i bought it to be different have you seen my list of cars compared to others. I guess I just like to save money. I have cash to buy another car but for what? I have two perfectly running cars and if you do this as a hobby damn you must be rich cause it's pricey.

But hey it's your money do what you want with it.

Why do you contradict yourself by saying, "hey it's your money do what you want with it," but at the same time say, "damn you guys waste a lot of money"?

Who cares what people spend their money on? It's their life and it's what makes then happy right?

That's what I'm trying to figure out from him and the 48 year old who has only had a car since 1993.

I took the bus or my dads car.

It just amazes me the list of cars some people have.

It could just be circumstantial. Which is why I don't really say much on this forum nor do I care enough to pass any kind of judgement. If I just listed the main cars that I've owned, it may seem like a lot. But if I explain the list, it might help you understand why some people have so many.

Example:
For me, I've had a few cars.

1992 Honda civic dx sedan (first car in high school; mom's car)
1996 Mazda 626 (upgraded to my dad's car after my mom gave away the civic)
1996 Honda civic dx coupe (my first car that I bought and modified)
1994 Honda accord (after my car was stolen, this was a temporary car that I used to get around)
1993 Honda civic hatchback (drove this around for a few years to save up for a new car)
2007 Honda Fit (current car which I paid off in full)

If you want to talk about wasting money, you prob would hate some of the people here who've spent 10k+ on their Fits. :P

I am not amazed at all that people can see differences in other people and think "what is wrong with them, why aren't they just like me?"

lol! you guys are rich!!!!
I'm 24
My Fit GD1 is my first car when I moved here in Japan.
But when I was still in the Philippines when my dad wasn't going to use his car, I drove my father's
Toyota Innova 09
and back then the Mitsubishi Lancer 97 (sold to add some cash for the Innova)
but most of time I take the jeepneys (fare is just 8 Philippine Pesos or in USD about 0.20 cents )
that's all we have but I'm contented and happy of what we have

Should start another thread on past cars or cars that people have owned that they considered was fun to drive when comparing the Fit. I find it interesting what some of the previous cars were WRXs and M3s.

Age 57, my first Honda.

Been driving a `98 Toy-Taco for the past 12 years. Talk about your bullet-proof mechanicals. Practical as hell, but not much for grins. Retiring the Taco to hauling, towing, back-up and lending status.

How many miles did you get on your Toy-Taco?

At 100K, still drives like new. Self `maintained'. Literally, have done nothing to it. Oil and Filters, a front pad reline and a new battery last year. Not bad for 14 years!

I had a 2006 Corolla 120k oil, brake rotors and tires when needed, nothing else.
