any thoughts on the theft resistance of 'tuner' type splined drive lug nuts?
|
I'm on Mcgard's website. The splined tuner lug nuts are not recommended for OEM wheels. The foot note says to refer to the dealer (using Honda Civic profile). Interestingly, all the wheel lock foot note says to use on aftermarket wheels. Since Honda has released wheel locks, does this mean the splined tuner lug nuts are fine?

How common is the wheel locks used in the Fit? Anyone can buy the set of them with the wheel lock key, they aren't unique to each set, are they?
|
Wheel locks are all unique. You can't just go out and buy any key to fit the lock. They are specially made for each set.

Otherwise I guess you really shouldn't lose the keys, since you won't be able to get a replacement? |
Well, you can always use this as theft detterent as well.
