Rear Seat - broken hinge - won't flip up
 

Hi - there is another post on broken hinge when the whole seat is DOWN, but my seat is in "normal" position and will not allow me to flip the seat UP.

The little "thing-y" that clamps over the bottom seat rail and is supposed to release when you gently pull up the seat cushion does not "give". i cannot push it with my finger.

It's the driver's side

any ideas? Whack it with a hammer? :confused:

Will your seat not flip up? I had that problem which I think was caused by my floor mat getting caught under the bottom bar and not letting the seat come out of the catch. What I had to do was lower the back of the seat down and then I could pull the mat out. After that my seat would flip up like it should. Hope this helps.
