Still have my '02 Bugeye @ 120k miles, still going strong and still enjoy every gear shift and curve with it! Maybe that's why my Fit is still bone-stock... They're both fun to drive in their own ways...

The original WRX was great with the flare out wheel wells kind of remind me of the first M3s. Was looking at a 2009 WRX in 2009, however, in 2006 I purchased a Corolla not really a fun or sporty car but had great gas mileage and reliable. Once I got use to getting over 30MPG combined city and highway I could not go backwards on mileage and limit my driving.

My current garage is in my siggy below. I've owned about 30 autos; a few of them:

'68 Road Runner (1st car): 383, TQ, Dana, elect. fuel pumps & batt. in trunk, etc.
'61 Impala 2-door hardtop, restored
'66 VW Beatle, "Baja-Bug" conversion, modified engine
early '70s Humber Sceptre (was living in England)
~'76 Ford Cortina (still in England)
'69 VW Beatle (bought in '85 from orig. owner & restored fairly close to stock)
'72 VW Westphalia camper van
'88 VW Fox
'95 VW Jetta

Don't even get me started on motorcycles I've owned. :^)

Waste of gas is when you're no longer having fun driving what you have. Whatever works for you...

That is true, When I got my Miata and modified it I would drive that instead of my Corolla. Now I got the Fit I have been driving that a lot and the Miata less (partly because of the weather). If I got the Focus ST or a used WRX STI then gas maybe would not be a issue.

If the Sti came out the same time I bought my Bugeye, I probably would have bought that instead. Unfortunately for me the Sti came out the following year. And I couldn't justify getting rid of a car I was quite happy with and not to mention deal with another car note... Just luck of the draw.

I have looked at some used STIs talk about keeping their value reminds me of the last turbo Surpa. But for now I can not get rid of the Miata I brought with low miles and then I promply have modified and spent more than I paid for the car. I have stop going on Club Roadster so I will get any more ideals on items I really do not need. Maybe I should just get a air cool VW next time.

1997 Acura Integra LS that was modded to hell and back. Auto to 5-speed swap and a fully built turbo. Don't have too many pics since digital cameras/smart phones weren't exactly the norm back then.

2001 Honda S2000. Stolen 9 months after I got it. The ONLY pic I have of it was the day I brought it home from the dealership. Got it certified pre-owned.

Decided I didn't want a car payment anymore, so I got a Fit Sport w/navi. I love it. I set a goal to get something awesome in ~2 years.

Bikes...2005 Yamaha YZF-R6. Sold it for exactly the same price I bought it for almost 2 years later.

Bet that Monster is a fantastic commuter, the last one I rode was very impressive in the turns.

I used to have a 2009 Audi A4 Quattro. That was a fun car ... but I needed two cars. One for the wife and one for me. So i traded that in and got a Fit for myself and Civic for the wife. I have to say, I am pretty impressed with the Fit so far. Drives quite well. Still learning the nuaces of the manual shift though.

Before my Fit I had a 2004 Subaru WRX. I loved it, but it was getting high on the miles and I just needed a break.

I also currently own a 1992 240SX that I'm working on with my boyfriend.

1997 Mazda MX-6 V6 (MT) - fun as hell but expensive to maintain

2002 Toyota Solara SE V6 (MT) - a few mods got me down into the low/mid 14's, which was fun on open stretches and great on the highway, but didn't have the handling prowess that the Mazda did. What it did have was insane reliability. 200k miles and not one single issue at all. Too bad Toyota doesn't make cars like these anymore.

2010 Honda Fit. 44k miles now, and not a problem

2012 MB 250C (bought it for my wife)

I really love the honda. Not because it is fast, not because it is sporty, but because it is fun to drive, gets great mileage, and is so affordable to maintain.
