It's all hard plastic!?! need rubber set to put in bottom of all small storage areas!

Hi,
Everything rattles around in the cup holders and storage areas, like in the door, glove box...

Are pre-fab rubber sets available to drop in the bottom of all these?

I will be going for the B&J 26 piece wood-like interior set too. :D
- I will do photos when I get around to it, only @ 200$, like Husky floor mats were.
(any good ideas on lesser expensive, maybe driver-only, seat cover? or maybe kevlar ones that protect against screwdriver-in-pocket stupidity? lol)
Thanks.

Sears makes toolbox drawer liners that are inexpensive and easy to cut to size. They are pretty thin.

I've also used the rubber mouse pads with the cloth on one side to make cup holder liners. They soak up moisture if you have a bottle that "sweats" in the summer.

There was a vendor on these forums years ago who made perfect fitting rubber pads for ALL cup holders and console cavities. I bought a set for my GD, and later for my GE as well. I can't remember the vendor's name, but I will bet that a careful search on eBaymotors.com will find the same, or similar product.

Woops, too late.
was at Canadian tire today and bought scissors and 21$ thick drawer liner.

- was there looking for rechargeable screwdriver (gun style) with weak torque settings. I do electrical wiring.(need one tomorrow if ya can??? lol)
-- either 2 rechargeable batteries or 2 guns that you plug in to charge.(must be smallish and lightweightish) if anyone is selling.

addit: ps: Wet drinks in my new FIT? lol

As for my seat cover search:
I'm waiting for a price on kevlar. hehe

I also found covers at 350$ for front seats only. :puke:

But, I also found 2 COMPLETE seats for 258$.

Not sure which way to go, yet.

(I'm not rich, I'm nuts! :D )

krunk13 Mar 28, 2013 08:29 PM

Just get clazzio

Gra-fit-e Mar 28, 2013 08:32 PM

I checked out clazzio, and they ain't cheap.
If I'm going to put money, it's to save the original seats from a screwdriver puncture.
- reminds me, have to price oem seats, tks.

addit: ps: 0 fillups hehe

krunk13 Mar 28, 2013 08:49 PM

there only 270 and I dont think your gonna puncture PVC seats unless you get into a knife fight in your car.

Gra-fit-e Mar 28, 2013 09:00 PM

Nope,,,
did some review search and they say "Just like real leather"... :( I hate leather.
- my TMI's sweat to death! :D

krunk13 Mar 28, 2013 09:12 PM

They have PVC, leather, and suede.

Gra-fit-e Mar 28, 2013 09:22 PM

And the suede is also bullet proof?

Gra-fit-e Mar 28, 2013 09:27 PM

I'm here:
http://www.clazzio.com/car-leather-kits.php

and up to 449$
no logo on seat yet

addit: is there an option i'm missing for just front seat, or just driver seat?

Check out Coverking Neoprene Wetsuit seat covers from Costco. More affordable than pretend leather from Clazzio, and really comfortable and wear resistant. Made with extra padding. I just installed a set for $199. and am extremely pleased with quality and fit. But I would not recommend leaving a screwdriver in your pocket ever again.

Gra-fit-e Mar 28, 2013 09:54 PM

Hehe,
this is purely pre-emptive.

2 weeks before getting car i started sticking screwdrivers in my back pocket.
Fate sucks.

Good for you! You're too smart to be here.

Suggestion- keep the neoprene swatches for possible later use. In the near future I will post a cure for the Fit door panel armrests that break under your elbow. Zeta Products makes great armrest pads to my pattern for the doors, and I finally covered those rubber pads with 3mm thick neoprene (about the same thickness as the seat covers. When your door armrests break (and they will), you will have a DIY on the forums that shows you how to cover the Zeta polyurethane pads to match or accent the door coverings with water-and-wearproof neoprene, and glue them permanently to the armrests with holes in them. The pads act as a bridge to keep the holes from continuing to enlarge.

I have not installed the neoprene-covered pads yet, but will post the results and materials list whenm the job is completed.

This is the pair of driver and passenger side armrest pads covered in neoprene:

For Costco members the real neoprene (not fake) runs $199.00 for the front seats.

krunk13 Mar 29, 2013 04:05 AM

Why get these when you can get front and back for $270?

Because I don't want the back seats covered- they are almost always folded and the entire back floor is covered with the Elemmat. I was willing to pay the higher price for just the front Coverking neoprene product.
