I Keyed My Own Car!!
I am SO upset!! I've had my fit for 8 months now, and kept it pristine--no accidents, no backing into poles, nothing. And then this morning when I was getting back into my car at Whataburger after picking up breakfast to take home to the family, I was juggling my keys and the bag and a drink and halfway dropped my keys.
Of COURSE my car key was pointing out as I was just about to open the door, and now I have a long vertical scratch near the keyhole. What on earth do I do? Do any of those scratch remover products they advertise actually work? It isn't rough, I don't feel a very deep scratch, but the blue paint is gone and so the scratch looks white. I don't think I can bear to see it every single time I get into my car. This is my first one and I'm just heartsick over it--especially since I did it myself instead of it being someone else. |
Try scratchX first. Just follow the instructions on the bottle. Most major auto stores stock it.

^^ Ditto! That stuff works wonders! Depending on the severity of the scratch, you may have to make a couple of passes but for 12 bucks at Walmart (and other stores) its a darn good thing to keep stashed away for scratches.

You'd think that I actually crashed it instead of just scratching it, considering how upset I am. I hate to think how I'll feel when something truly awful does happen. The way traffic is around here, and the way people drive, it's almost a matter of *when* not *if*. . . . |
try scratchx.
use this as your applicator. dont need too much elbow grease, but you need to work the product in to polish the scratch out. |
