Is your Fit paid for? (Poll time)

I was just curious to see the ratio of the respondents

Mine was all paid for when I first drove it off the dealer's lot. :) :wiggle:

Yo money bags! LOL

I did the same with my Harley but financed the Fit.

My Fit is the first car we financed. We didn't have a trade either as we donated our van and my hubby kept my old car. Very strange having a car payment. Looking forward to the day it's paid off.

Fit is the first car I ever financed, I put a hefty down payment, so my payment was less than $200. It will be paid off in 5 payments!

Paid in full on delivery.

This. It was a bit cheaper because I bought my '09 used in '13. I drove my old Civic for 12 years and saved up.

We have financing on both of our Fits.

Payments are small/manageable though, so I'm not bothered by it. I'd rather build credit with what is essentially free money (interest rates lower than the rate of inflation), than buy something all in one go and essentially pay more.

It's paying for itself as I go. Fit payments + gas are a bit higher than gas alone on my last car.

Paid mine off 2 1/2 years ago got the turbo a couple of months later.

Santiad 11-10-2014 01:56 PM

sure did

Got it in 09 with dealership financing....refinanced it at year 2 to half the interest rate but kept the payments the same, until I threw 4k at it to pay it off completely over a year ago...

I did it at a time in my life when I was considering trading it in for a CX-5....but now as I'm looking to move back to Brooklyn....I might be getting rid of a car altogether....

Best Car I've had....out of all the cars I've had and even rented....not checked off as many boxes as the my GE Fit....only thing is I haven't come across many women who like it...other than the older ones

kenchan 11-10-2014 02:27 PM

yes, both bought cash. these are my beaters.

k-man 11-10-2014 03:50 PM

paid in full, 20k cash purchase brand new back in 2009

hogwylde 11-10-2014 07:30 PM

I have to say I am so far pleasantly surprised.

It is my assumption that the majority of the members are on the "younger" side and perhaps with no extra cash (yet) to pay for their cars outright. I was not expecting the majority of the votes to be "Paid for".

Nice!

2poler 11-11-2014 09:59 AM

financed it used with a small monthly payment. Wife keeps telling me to stop playing with it and just pay it off. When the suspension it done I might just do that?

oufink 11-12-2014 11:58 AM

Bought it when it was 2 years old, but paid in full. We always try to save enough in advance so we never have to have a loan on a car.

K. Grobinski 11-14-2014 12:00 AM

Picked up the blue EX/MT on Monday. Paid all but the $3000 the dealer let us put on cc for cash back, the cc balance will be paid in full before due. Would have taken .9% financing offer and tried to beat the interest rate but the offer expired the week before our car came in.

hogwylde 11-16-2014 09:13 AM

Just received my title yesterday. Yay me!

Mini_Odyssey 11-25-2014 12:01 AM

Mine was financed in Dec 12' and i still got $8600 left :( Ill probably have 100k miles by the time i get her paid off.

danski 11-25-2014 11:34 PM

Ha, no way I was going to pay cash on a car with interest rates as low as I got.

Financed here.
