5 spd Fit Sport on the lot at Crest Honda, Nashville

All:

Since everyone is looking for M/T sports......

Today, while having my car serviced, I spotted a dark blue Fit sport on the lot with 5 speed. The dealer is Crest Honda of Nashville, TN.

Phone is (615) 256-5656.

Hope this is of use for someone.

Just the regular dark blue that the bulk of the Fits I have seen are painted, it is not the light blue, which is a base only color.

...I just checked the factory site, it is called Vivid Blue Pearl.

I highly recommend Crest Honda. I was going to get my Fit from them, but another one became available sooner at another dealership.

edit: Oops, I screwed up. I talked to Trickett Honda, not Crest.

If anyone is interested, I saw a used silver MT Fit on carmax.com. It's located in Georgia.

Heh, carmax showed me that car when I went to get my 95 Civic appraised. They wanted something ridiculous for it, like $17,500.

That could be the car I had ordered. I had a VBP with M/T on the way with a delivery date of late Sept. The dealer I was working with said that car ended up somewhere else, so I was put back on the waiting list and reordered!

Or, maybe it's mine. I was told it would be delivered on Sept 28 (or 29 I forget) then later told "OOPS Honda never even accepted your order and now we can't reorder until Jan. Must have had you confused with someone else". Maybe instead of that being the truth it was sent somewhere else.

The mystery of the disappearing VBP sport M/T is spreading .

Is that for sure what they were insisting on or was that what simply was on the sticker and could still be negotiated? When I found my base on the lot it it had a dealer markup and installed stuff on the sticker that I never even came close to paying after negotiating. The sales guy never even asked me for that markup.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that all of their prices are non-negotiable.

Also, I made a mistake in my earlier post when I said I dealt with Crest and they're good people. For some reason I got them confused with Trickett Honda in Rivergate. I've never been to Crest, so I don't know how honest/reliable they are.

Trickett.....I called them back in April, and it seemed on the phone that my call was an inconvenience, so I never did go up there.

On News 5 on Saturday mornings, they are on showing their cars. One day, they had a Honda S2000 Roadster and while the camera was on it, this old scruffy brown dog walks up and urinates right on the wheel, the cameraman never cut away....

Maybe they are selling this as the new "R. Kelly Edition"? I dunno.....

Huhh, I should jump on that. I get a discount since I work at Carmax. Its not that big of a discount since its a used car.
I want VBP though...

The reason why Carmax prices are more expensive then others (which they normally are not) is because they sell the car for $2,000-$4,000 over the price they bought the car for.

bailing out from my April order

I ordered the M/T Sport, red or blue, MSRP, $250 deposit, on April 23. Very little feedback from the dealer on what is going on. I'd say this is too long to wait for an entry-level car. Maybe one of you can take or buy my Midwestern place in line.

Ok people....

The Fit has been re-listed on the Carmax site. The price is also higher, it was at 17,500 and now its at 18,200 or around there.

Im going to my job tomorrow (Im off) and having a sales person call Norcross. If they gave these people MSRP for that Fit Im getting it transferred and buying it.

I e-mailed them about a Fit in early April. Like you said, they were underwhelming, at most. I've purchased from them previously, however.

I e-mailed several Honda dealers - six, I think, and it turned out that the only one that responded with any desire turned out to be the one here in BG. I did use an e-mail account that they wouldn't recognize, too!! LOL!!

Local dealer had what I was looking for coming in (I either wanted red or white - non-metallic and non-pearl colors...) and they agreed to less than MSRP with mats, wheel locks, and locking gas cap.

I took 'em a deposit. They laughed when I walked in and said something like "we should have known it would be YOU!"
