What did you not know about your Fit until you bought it and drove it a while. What are some things you noticed? Any regrets? Knowing what you know now, would you repurchase?

Is 30mpg bad? My current car is 20 mpg.

I thought I would be getting low 30s in a car that small and light. The AT just doesn't do that well efficiency wise around town. I also drive very gently-our other car is a Prius V and I drive both cars similarly (gently).

That I had bought a car that would need valve adjustment. I can't believe in 2016/17 you could still purchase a car that needs valve adjustments, but evidently I did? I wouldn't have bought it had I known. Also the POS indirect TPMS is a pain. Light always comes on. Given up on trying to reset it. I just live with the tire light on the dash. One day I'll get mad and take the dash apart and remove the bulb. Keep in mind I have a $90 air pressure gauge I use for racing that's accurate to .25 of a pound and has been verified that it reads correctly. Another issue is the radio. If using my phones GPS and trying to listen my phones music or using the GPS, listening to the radio, using the GPS and I get a phone call. Either scenario locks up the radio. I have to shut the car off for it to reset. My manual transmission 2017 has horrible panel alignment, but everyone on here says it's only the MT cars that's built in Mexico so I guess that's acceptable to most? I've also had an intermittent fuel type smell. Personally, I think the car is a horrible car. As soon as the length of my commute changes the car will be traded in and hopefully in someone else's life

I don't like:
1. Indirect TPMS system which seems to erroneously illuminate on any extended long highway trip.
2. 2016 Honda Fit EX-Seems like front windshield columns are thicker. Creates active blind spots, even with cut-out window inserts. I swear I did NOT notice this on my 2010, so I think Honda just made them thicker on the 2016. Had some years inbetween..maybe my imagination.
3. Believe it or not? I miss the "hidden" compartment under the back seat, and I miss the dual glove box. Less "neat" places to store stuff compared to 2010.
4. I have struggled to find a front windshield wiper set up that doesn't drag and chatter.
IMO, I've never had a vehicle that was perfect in all regards. I find most of these problems to be minor.
Depending on what Honda does with the NEXT evolution I would probably repurchase.
But if I went back about a year ago?
I think I might of looked for as pristine an used example of a newer Gen 2 that I could find.
I like my new Honda Fit...but there was a lot about my Gen 2 I miss.

I'd add one thing.
When I first got my 2016 I really disliked the low center console "arm rest".
But...
I've actually kind of adjusted.
And I kind of now like having the space. That is NOT having something on my right blocking me in.
For a while I'd go to try to rest my arm and wonder where the REAL arm rest was...but now? I'm OK with it not being there. And I have found the storage space is actually adequate.

i was never an arm rest kinda guy especially on an MT cars too.. but since getting into my Golfs things changed.. i use the arm rests on my GTI and R (MT) all the time. i think it has to do with the height and position as it slides forwards to a perfect landing spot for my arm.

15 EX manual bought new early last year and about 26,000 miles. Overall very happy with it. Only thing I've noticed so far is that the paint does indeed seem to scuff easily. Few small marks in the paint despite being very careful and often parking further away. Wiper blades were pretty bad from the get go but I suspect part of that was it sat for a year on the dealers lot before I got it. Put Trico neoform blades on it last fall and they have worked great so far.

wat color is your 15 EX? darker colors will show swirls and haze a lot easier than lighter colors as u probably know.
try some ScratchX on a foam pad to remove those light scratches and scuffs. GL

1.)Very fragile, easily scratched paint.
2.)Very thin, easily dented sheet metal.
3.)High prices for routine major service.
Would I buy it again? Probably. But I'd look closer at some other makes, too. Whenever I see a Kia Soul go by, I wonder if that would've done me better. It seems Hyundai and Kia are now what Honda and Toyota were in the 80's and early 90's.
