ok, so I bought this car 5 1/5 months ago, it has 32000km on it. Has run fine since I bought no issues, no warning lights. I was out tonight with family and we did drive thru, I had the USB plugged in so the car was on idle power mode for about 45 mins-1 hr. When we finished and I went to start the car nothing was happening. The interior lights were still working and the exterior lights. Eventually when pushing the ignition button the power come on but the dashboard panel lights up but just clicks and flickers but engine isn’t starting up. Any ideas? Battery? Starter solenoid? I’m hoping whatever it is is covered by warranty as this is a new car to me. I had to leave it in a parking lot for the night and will need to tow it tomorrow.....ugh... thanks

You probably just killed the battery. Try to get a jump start.

Bit strange that your interior lights are still working.
Do they seem dim?

The easiest diagnosis is the battery, but I'm suspicious, because I think you would of witnessed symptoms as it slowly lost power.

You should try jump starting it, carefully....as it might save you the time and trouble of a tow. Also, if it starts up fine with a jump? That's somewhat telling that the problem could all be battery related.

If it's not the battery, then yes, all the things you mention COULD be in play.
Good Luck.

It started up this morning, at first when I opened the door it was beeping at me but not lights on dash, once door closed it stopped. Is driving fine not warning lights. I read something about an automatic lockdown after car is in accessory power for 30-60 mins? Only thing is that I could still use my lock and unlock? That’s all I can think it was...gonna call Honda and see what they say.

thx

Seems having the fit in accessory mode drain the battery fairly quick. Battery checked at the shop and all is fine again. Thx
