Engine light won't go off 2016 fit
This car has been in the dealership since October on and off for the same issue. They replaced all sorts of things and the light goes back on. They are looking into the emissions, but still cannot figure it out. The car has 30,000 miles, and is in good shape. I bought it used with 13,000 miles and have been having problems ever since. They have repeatedly told me it was a spider web, and I can believe that, but it's getting to be an old diagnoses. It's not the canister, and at this point they are saying it's the fuel vent tube, but I still don't have my car back!
Can anyone give it a shot? I think I got a lemon. |
It doesn't really help, only saying you have a CEL... CELs typically have a DTC that triggers it. So the question becomes, what is the DTC?
If you provide that, then maybe someone here can give you some sort of answer... cause without it, it's a literal shot in the dark. |
Thank you for responding. I'm not sure what any of what you said means. I would be clearer if I knew what I was talking about :iough:
All I know is that they can't get the engine light to go off, and they are talking emissions and spider webs. Sounds sketchy so I figured I'd ask. |
There's a diagnostic code. They plug something into your car and get a readout. That should help narrow down what's wrong.
Does your state have a lemon law? |
