What are you willing to trade for a "teacher" to teach you how to drive a manual?? :) Congrats & welcome to the board!!! I knew you'd be a convert!!

Congrats!

All you have to do is find a parking lot and work out the basics. Then move to side streets... then the big challange is getting used to starting off on hills. When I was teaching my wife we went over to the Patterson/Coach Hill area in the SW, lots of big steep hills on empty streets there.

The Fit is one of the easiest manuals I have ever driving, nice light clutch and very forgiving if you make a mistake.

Congrats on the purchase and I would recommend you do everything Sugarphreak just mentioned. Just work on finding the engagement point first on a nice flat parking lot. When you start feeling the car go forward give it a bit of gas and slowly release the clutch and she will start going.

Once you get that nailed pretty good then start working on inclines.
