Martin Main Line Honda, Philadelphia, PA

Cant say enough about the sales people there. They were the friendliest people i have come in contact with. I have had some rather snooty people helping me at other dealerships when I said i wouldnt put money on a car without test driving it. Main Line actually bought a Fit just for test drive purposes (automatic though, blah :) ).

I told them what i wanted (BOM Fit Sport MT) and they found it for me the next day, waited a little over a week for it to arrive and I am now driving it. Any other Honda I buy or any friends buy will definitely be through them

Is that the one on 30 going towards bryn mawr?

gcubed 12-12-2006 06:30 PM

yes it is, its a little crowded on the main line, but the sales guys were great. Joe Greco and John Merringer were the two that helped me

that's great man..did you pay MSRP? i guess demand isn't so high on your side huh

gcubed 12-12-2006 09:53 PM

paid MSRP but got some leeway on my trade in. They did a dealer trade for it, so i dont know where they got it from. I was shocked they found the orange 5 speed

etong 12-13-2006 01:56 PM

yea especially since they were able to find one the following day...that is surprising. most dealers won't even locate a car until you leave a $500 deposit. i might have to call them if my dealer doesn't get back to me soon enough

gcubed 12-13-2006 03:57 PM

they told me they'd find one for me within a week, i did leave a deposit. I gave them 2 color choices, both MTX. I was shocked they found the orange so quickly, but the next day they called me, told me the VIN, and i took delivery a little under 2 weeks later.

I can reccommend the 2 salesman i worked with that i mentioned above. They were helpful and bent over backwards for me, what you expect someone to do. They DO NOT sell for over MSRP, try to get some more for your trade if you have one, to get the price of the car down, they gave me about 700 more for my trade after a little haggling.

If you call them tell i sent ya, maybe i'll get a tshirt or something :) PM me if you want the sales guys direct info

etong 12-13-2006 04:09 PM

i don't mind leaving deposit but some of them sales guys aren't really motivated to help you find a car even after you do. did you leave deposit before they found you the car or after?

gcubed 12-17-2006 08:33 PM

i left a deposit before they found the car, and they found it the next day. I lucked out, i should have had them make an agreement about how long they have to find the car.

Hey i've been dealing with them for the last week or so. At first i was looking at a Black Element but started to get more into the Fit and im totally siked. Im dealing with a guy named Tony Longo and i assume the manager is the same guy your dealing with, this younger indian looking kind of guy?

I went to Mainline honda for my FG1 and I had a horrible experience. I treated like crap. I needed a car badly so I bought the Civic. That was last year. I traded in my Civic for my Fit Sport on 2/17 @ Sloane Honda in Philadelphia... what a difference. Its such a better place.

matt7277 02-19-2007 11:51 PM

Damn it really? i just put my name on one coming into Martin sometime in March so i have just been waiting. Theres another place around that has them? Was it Manual or Auto? How much did you get it for? Did they have any more? Hah sorry for all the questions but you could really help me out!

.eL 02-20-2007 12:06 AM

I didn't get my Fit from there, I was talking about the 2006 Civic coupe I bought from there.

I'm not saying they're going to treat you like sh*t if you go there but that's how I was treated.

I bought my Fit Sport manual from Sloane Honda in Northeast Philly.

matt7277 02-20-2007 12:30 AM

Oh yeah i guess i said it wrong. I have my name on one coming into Martin next month but id deffinetly take my deposit back and go somewhere else if they have Sport MT in stock. Did they have any besides the one you got at Sloane? Its a shame cause i was going to call them last week but i never got around to it

.eL 02-20-2007 12:35 AM

When I was there on Saturday all I saw besides the one I bought was a Red Base model. If you've got one coming in already... just buy that one unless they give you a reason not to.

I went to Martin Mainline Honda after emailing them. I offered them $100 over invoice, and my offer was accepted! However, it took almost 6 weeks for the car to come in, even though it was scheduled to come in in about 2 weeks. Very friendly service, and even though Patrick my salesguy, was sometimes hard to reach, he always answered my questions.

Hey Matt7277 I happened to snag the only Sport MT from there during March, and maybe April. I waited since mid Dec of last year. They were getting real pissy because everyone wanted a MT and I had the last one that was going to go there for a while. Sorry for everyone that wanted a MT and didn't get one from there.
