San Antonio Dealers
Who has bought a Fit in San Antonio, TX and at which dealer? Di you pay sticker price or get a break? One dealer I looked at was charging for clear coat and fabric protector for $795. I told them I wasn't interested in that scheme. Thanks.

You have to be shitting me...Goodson wanted me to put down $500 and they refused to take the $399 Paint and Fabric Protection BS off the ticket...I hate you BTW..4 DAYS?!?!
But I went to Sterling-McCall and I'm paying MSRP...Also have'nt gotten it yet.

Put 500 down today at Benson Honda (off of 410) for Silver Sport Mt, getting the car at the end of June. Total came out to 16,425 + t/t/l b/c they added on $500 for the paint and fabric protection and $133 for all-weather floor mats since I didn't want to mess with installing the clips. I'm kind of irritated about it atm b/c we are paying it off complete with cash when it comes in but they wouldn't take off the protection cost. They said that b/c the Fits are selling so fast they can add it on and still sell it quick, which is a total bs way of doing buisness. So, unless i can find another silver or red sport m/t at msrp, I'm getting it. But, if you really want one bad, Fernandez Honda on 35 has 4 atm: 2 orange m/t sport, 1 orange auto sport and 1 blue auto base. Heh, but they've tacked on $795 for paint/interior protection and $70 for locking lugs, GL w/ that. Also, the orange m/t sport in their showroom has a fine hairline scratch just behind the driver-side rear window, buyer be-aware.

I'm not certain of this, but I'm pretty certain that in Texas you only pay the Texas State tax rate on cars. I don't think you pay any of the county or local sales tax. I think all cars in Texas will have a 6.25% sales tax irrespective of what city you buy it in.

I've been waiting since April 9th...and it doesn't look like mine will be comming in this month...I really can't wait on this car any longer. So, I'm going to go ahead and go with plan B...Mazda3. I still have it "on order" but God knows when it will actually come in...

Went w/ GUNN. Got KBB excellent trade-in value w/ my first purchase during the winter when I thought I would've been glad to have gotten "fair" value due to past experinences. Fellow family members have been impressed/happy and have purchased from them in the past along w/ co-workers. Close to future work site and not far from the house. Though they're "no-haggle", they're outselling the other three dealers in the area. Ask for Pete D.

Grats! Gunn is good, they will give msrp no matter what. But, they weren't too sure when they'd get a silver mt sport. They did call me the other day and asked if i wanted a base mist, but nah, im supposedly getting the silver from benson at the beginning of july. Build date was the 9th!

However I agree, shop around until you find a dealer that doesn't pad it with ridiculous options.
