Some of the extra stuff was used to help protect the intake. Such as the 90* rubber elbow and the other rubber piece that attaches to the end of the intake and the fenderwell opening. The plastic clamp is what came with the 3 inch 90* elbow.
There are a couple of differences with the route I went vice what SHG_Mike originally created. Instead of cutting out all the baffling, I used a portion of the baffling to create more internal volume in the airbox. Instead of putting a breather filter at the end of crank case ventilation fitting, I opted to re-circulate it back into the airbox because it is a positive crankcase ventilation system.
I was defintely pleased with the results when I was running it.
