Reputable 3rd party mechanics / shops, North NJ

Well, Honda service doesn't install aftermarket parts. I guess it makes sense, but it's a little ridiculous for something like a bolt on sway bar. I don't have the time or patience to lift the car up myself any more (not to mention the tools haven't gotten use in years, either!). I'm wondering if anybody knows of a reputable place in the north NJ, or the Orange and Rockland County areas in NY state who could install this part for me. It's gotta be literally less than half an hour of labor for anyone with a lift and the right tools. Just sucks that Honda won't touch it.

Thanks for the help!

It's a liability issue for Honda. If something is going to go wrong with a car (and it will go wrong at some point), then Honda doesn't want to say that they installed an aftermarket part for you. Because then the argument will be, "Why didn't you install an OEM Honda part instead of an aftermarket one? Could it be that the aftermarket part is to blame...and by association YOU (Honda) are to blame because you installed it?"

I have been happy with two North NJ shops that are Honda specialists:

Steve's Foreign Car, 70 N Beverwyck Rd, Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07034 stevesforeigncar.com

(973) 316-9282

Luu's Honda Repairs,
327 Bound Brook Rd, Middlesex, NJ 08846 (732) 968-8986

+++++++

But, for something as simple as a bolt-on sway bar, I'd agree that any local repair shop could do it.
