One hobby that i like very much is hearing music from the 80's.To complete the flash back i had built a old school stereo system.I buy a nice vintage Marantz SR 2000 old school stereo receiver on e-bay.It's only 30/38 watts RMS per channel but really it sound like more to me.This unit has a warm sound.Marantz was one of the best selling stereo system for the 80's.I also had 2 JVC cassette decks to hear my old school cassette collection. My speakers are one pair of old school Technics 3 way speakers and one pair of Sony 3 way speakers. Here is a picture of my Marantz from the web.

That's awesome. I have a Comet FSM set up for LDP, but it's not the best deck for that discipline. Haven't had a chance to take it out this spring, though. It seems like the only hobby I have time for anymore is working too much, haha.

Hi there kobudo. Thanks for your comment. The deck is really GREAT for SUP.Is GOOD to have a hobby my friend. That is why we call them.Sometimes we need to spend some time on them. They are for relax and to have a GOOD time when we are tired about our work life.Is what we call..."My FREE space and time".Is important to enjoy a hobby.Take care bro and see you around the forum....

I also rebuild and restore BMX bikes from the 80's.

Here is my 1984 Skyway TA, almost exactly as I had at 13.

Wow. This is a loaded question. Hobbies??? Wow....

I'm the epitome of "jack of all trades master of none." My problem is that I have many interests/hobbies, but not enough time or money to devote to them all:

I'm intrigued at how many people were "into" skateboarding here, but I never could keep my balance of one of those boards....

I was a BMX/freestyle kind of guy: Mongoose BMX, axle pegs front and rear, ground stunts, half pipe, quarter pipe, dirt trails, table top jumps, whoop-de-doos, etc... I used to ride my bike around town daily with my friend. All day rides, a little freestyle here and there, drop off of loading docks, use a curb cut as a ramp, find a hole and jump out of it for air, etc. Ah, the good ole days!

For my other hobbies:

- computers, technology, digital photography, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office

- laser research, laser sights for target acquisition, DIY laser building, holography, basic electronics, soldering

- mountain biking, running/jogging, C25K, weight training, nutrition

- hiking, geocaching, GPS usage, finding boundary monuments

- firearms (handgun, shotgun, AR-15), target shooting, daily carry for self-defense, firearms laws, firearms instructor

- CADD, GIS, architecture, RV design, cabin design, small living design, doomsday prepper design, manufactured housing design

- solar insolation, solar panels, off-grid living, wind power, utility independence

- listening to music, creating music (personal DAW)

- video games, classic arcade games, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons RPG, Star Frontiers RPG, Game Cube games, Odyssey2, Commodore 64

- cooking, baking, learning new kitchen skills

- gardening, hydroponics, sustainable living

Yeah, you could say that I have a huge interest variety. My problem is that I don't have an unlimited resource supply (i.e. $$$$).

My most avid hobby would be karting. I have been racing for about three years now and am 3 races into my current season. I run in an Arrive and Drive series so it's all for fun and keeps the costs down. Arguably the most fun you can have with your pants on!

My car obviously.

Videogames.

I like anything outdoors - hiking, fishing, sports.

I love going Bass fishing. This is one of the bigger fish I've caught recently.

No, I did not participate in the Nurburgring 500, lol.

Thread Revival!!

Besides cars my other big hobbies are photography and DIY wood and metal projects. I recently got a welder to start practicing more and have always enjoyed making stuff (usually for the house or cars).

I also enjoy tools. USA and foreign tools. I am slowly rebuilding my tools with higher quality stuff like SK, Knipex, Wera, Engineer. It is a slow process.
