Honda/Acura's Owned Through Years
Hi all - just reviewing my historical list of Honda's and Acura's and curious to everyone else's list. Like most everyone here, I have been a loyal Honda enthusiast for a long time (since 1993!) Here is my list:
|
Nice lineup!!!
|
My first Honda was a 1980 Prelude. You have me beat since then!
|
I've only owned 1 other. 2000 Integra GS manual. What a great driver's car.
|
Jazz is my first Honda, but my wife has had CRVs for almost a decade. So considering our household, the list is as follows:
1998 Honda CRV Aut. (2011-2014, totaled by an army Land Rover) 1999 Honda CRV Aut. (2014-) 2019 Honda Jazz Man. (2020-) |

Had a 2005 Odyssey Touring (bought in 2007) that we put over 225k miles on. It was time so last year we bought a 2019 Odyssey Touring. WOW, what a change in the tech!
In Feb, we bought a 2016 Fit-EX for the teens to drive. Great little car. |

My first Honda was an 1985 Honda CRX HF. Unless you count motorcycles, that's about it until the '08 Fit Sport came along then the recent '17 Fit LX.

Yeah, I almost got a 2015 CRX, but it felt more cramped than the original. Definitely a lot more pep....actually, same pep as the Fit (similar engine, I think) and cheaper. The Fit won out overall because it was just as fun to drive, a LOT more cargo room, way better gas mileage than my Chevy 1-ton, dog approved AND wife loves the Fit (she had the 2008).
Not hating on the Fit, love them, but I can't think of what you are comparing it with. |

I can't possibly come up with what vehicle you are referring to in 2015. A. The CRX hasn't been made since 1991. B. No Honda in the US has a smaller motor or less power than the Fit. C. If you are thinking of the HR-V or the CR-V, both have more cargo room than a Fit and more power.

As usual, your knowledge of Honda's exceeds mine :) Always forget about that car. Not sure if it's true everywhere, but those are unicorns where I live. I had look up the production numbers. Guess less than 35k in total were made. I liked the idea of the manual CR-Z. I think that's still the only manual hybrid ever made.
Honda was a good car company. Maybe they still are. |

You could get the first gen Insight with a manual as well.
Honda was a good car company. Maybe they still are. The social media side of GK Fit's is a disaster. There are posts every day about fuel injector replacements, pealing paint, error codes, etc. That being said, we bought a 2020 Accord Sport 2.0 auto for my wife's daily. So, we are giving Honda a chance again. I can already say that some of the build quality is questionable. I keep finding rusty bits everywhere and the use of plastic for things like motor mounts is pretty mind boggling. It's also scary how the entire front is basically not attached to anything. You can wiggle it to an insane amount with little effort. Like a couple of fasteners here or there would have been too much effort? |
