Fit on Forbe's Top 10 Least Expensive Vehicles to Own

This makes me proud. Heres a link to the article.

Luxury Car Reviews, Prices and Advice on ForbesAutos.com

The fit is ranked number 2, behind the yaris. They rank according the five year cost of ownership, taking into account depreciation, interest, opportunity cost, fuel, maintenance, insurance, and taxes.

What is surprising is that the cheaper and better warrantied Korean competitors do not do very well on the list.

Only reason the Yaris won is because from a cost standpoint, they skimped on the sheet metal of having two more doors. Otherwise Honda Fit would be number 1. ;) :D

Sweet!!!

Did you notice that the Yaris was on the 10 most dangerous cars list, and the Fit wasnt even in the top 20! For that i think the Fit should win!!

personally i'm glad the fit beat the aveo (as if there would've been any doubt anyways) :D

Thanks for the link! I was a little upset about spending 16,100 on an "economy" car (a fun one!). My car search was about saving money in the long term especially if gas prices go crazy. The article makes me feel better about my choice.

I'm sorry but the Yaris has the worst interior ever. That alone makes the Fit #1 in my eyes.

The average vehicle was like USD$27,000 or something last year. 16k is definitely in econo territory . The Yaris is simply cheaper, and it shows -- but choices are good!
