Now this I'd like to have
Not sure if anyone is familiar with Seat, but they make a really sweet ride I wish we could get here. It's a Seat Leon Cupra, which is the top grade of the Leon. 240ps@5100rpm, 206ftlbs torque@1750rpm, 0 to 62mp/h in 6.4 secs, 153mph top speed, 6MT, sweet interior, 18" alloys, and a hatchback with aggressive styling. I so wish they would sell cars like this in the U.S.; you can't tell me they wouldn't sell here.

The cupra is a sweet ride, I spotted one way up here in Vancouver, Canada a few months back it had Mexican Liscense plates, must have been a hell of a drive. It was the high end cupra model too in red... SO NICE!

that is pretty sweet
|
yea thats pretty rad, but if we got it in america, it would be a watered down version with no character. just another car.
|
That car is hot..I really like the shape, and the interior semmed pretty cool..I wish they were in the US.

how do you know that? this isn't a honda we are talking about!:p this car is great, they are a sister company of VW. (can't remember if VW actually manufactures them though.) enter the 'it will be SOO unreliable' comments here.:D it looks awesome. |

this new car from seat.... here in portugal i see a lot
the cupra is a sport version of the seat leon seat is a spanish company and i think the motors are from VW like the VW and audi, i think Seat are too expensive to what the cars are. honda make similar cars, if not better, and are chepear. sorry my english, if i have mistakes |
Oh so nice! What a great looking, well-performing car. Of course in the USA we don't get cars like that...
The dash with the display of the car reminds me of the Audi s. |
we get the car over here too!
its basically a VW GTi in Seat clothing :P Over here its cheaper than a VW but ALOT harder to sell... :S |
One car that I really want is the new Saturn (Opel) Astra 3 door that's coming stateside in a few months. Saw it at an autoshow here in Hartford... it's pretty sweet.
|
US Safety Regulations about the bumper would make that car go from sexy to ugly. I think we all know that, unfortunately :-(

just like Navdav said they dont sell dont well here, and they are quite expensive here compared to UAE. But i still like my Honda, reliability and performance and Much cheaper!! |
Pretty slick looking car. Not big on the LCD center display though (reminds me of an oversized casio), but other than that, looks nice. :D

That's pretty much what I heard as well, but looks hella better than a GTi by far.
why is it harder to sell? And chikubi, what motor is in it? is it the 2.0 fsi turbo from the gti? (if so, you are correct, they can be chipped to put out that type of power.) anyone ever notice how gauges in european cars are a little plain jane? the ones in the new gti are nice, (the ones in my rabbit were nice, but only at night.) but as a general rule, they seem to be the one part that comes to close to 'plain' as opposed to 'european simplicity'. i like my whacky honda gauges!:) its def no deal breaker, the car looks wonderful! |
Car is awesome! I have seen this very car in the same yellow color back home in Croatia in May. Red one too!
Seat is Spanish division of VW, just like Skoda is Check Republic's division on VW. Since Porsche owns quite a bit of shares of VW, Seat is being sold along side Porsche's in Croatia. VW Golf, Seat Leon, and Skoda Fabia share chassis, engines and electronics, but have different body panels and interior trim. Passat, Altea and Octavia in higher range, too. VW campaigned Skoda Fabia in WRC. I guess they were testing WRC waters without having to stick VW name out there. I bet if they became successfully, VW brand would appear presto! Seat is using Italian and Spanish designers in their design studio's in Spain, while Skoda is using their own Check designers with some German impute. BTW Chikubi, Seat is BTCC 2007 champ! Link is below: BTCC - SEAT Sport UK Another set of cars to check out is Citroen & Peugeot conglomerate. Citroen Xsara dominated World rally. Now they are doing the same with C4 Coupe battling with Ford. Citroen created C2 and C4 Sebastian Loeb edition! Hot!!! Check Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107 and also Toyota Aygo! All 3 are being built alongside each other by the French with Toyota engines. Heck, check my album below: Picasa Web Albums - Ivan - European Cars They are a decade ahead of us in design. :( |
