Fit Vs. TSX?
Fit Vs. TSX?
so today sum kid in a TSX decided to race me off a red light... and i ddnt think i was gonna win so i ddnt push my car that hard... but i was ahead of him going into 3rd when i slowed down for traffic and he shot past me... all i am wondering is why did i get him off the line.... the Fit has way more balls than I thought it would! lol
i think he was runnin in an auto... cuz he seemed serious about goin for it... but then again no way to know for sure, i know a competent MT driver would have wasted em on a strait shot lol
if you had him 1st through 3rd does that mean you went well past 60mph and you still had the lead on him? i didn't think a honda fit was that fast. and that's a pretty long/high-speed race. street race i assumed?
yeah the fit seems a lil quick but once you reach 3rd its all downhill from there... same thing that happen to me when i was racing ( for sh!t and giggles) my friends Spec V i had him off the start but he reach 3 rd gear it wasnt fare lol
that's funny you mention this. i smoked an RSX on the freeway the other night. i mean like baaaaaaad. 99% of the time it's not the car it's the driver. this happened like around quarter to midnight on a fri night on the 5 south. he had a huge ass glo gauge mounted on the A pillar. and some kinda huge ass exhaust w/burnt tip. he couldn't pick a line worth shit. he and a (i'm not 100%) old old old school toyota celica/corolla go flyin by me and i think nothin of it, i mean they were crankin! but neither of them could take a clean line through traffic and the toyota was even weaving in n out of the carpool too, lame! i see them constantly having to slam on their brakes, so they never got too far ahead of me as i was keeping track of their tails. so i'm still just cruisin along, which is like 100 mph for me anyways, i'm always looking ahead and plotting new lines to adjust for any other traffic comin up, i catch up to them like nothin and end up freakin blowin by the both of them. never saw 'em again after that. sorry, didn't mean to jack your thread.

thansk. :D yeah, i agree with the lower gears being so close. i just never mash it off the line cuz i don't like the squats, so i usually roll in slo mo on surface streets, plus i think it's mo gangsta that way. i'd rather open her up on the fwy and push the top end. i'm surprised, she can move quick when you need to get on it around 80mph/4000rpms. after that tho, once you have to tap the brakes you lose all your momentum. unless you have to get on the brakes hard and go back down around 80 or below again, then you can just drop gear and redline. ;) lol!
i'd figure that to be the case. everyone who drives an auto, with the exception of old farts, always mash it at lights just cuz they have the power immediately available to them, i don't even think they realize they do it tho. if i wanna keep up with traffic after a stop light i have to really push to keep up. most of the time i think they either see a small little car tryin to show off and ease up or they feel they have to punk my ass. so i learned to not even try. :o
dont mean to be a stick in the mud, but that sounds incredibly dangerous. i find it very dangerous/irresponsible when cars decide to race weaving in and out of traffic. this has nothing to do with being a good driver to me... other than risking their cars/lives, they risk the harm of other cars/bikes. plus this gives a bad representation to car enthusiasts(imports especially). not trying to give a negative vibe, but be smart out there. Did we not see the thread of those hideous traffic accidents?
