08' Fit Sport vs 08' Civic EX Sedan - My Review

I had to take my BBP 08' Fit Sport into the shop the other day to get the TPMS light turned off seeing how I was not loosing any pressure in the tires. So after I take it in and wait for about an hour and a half, I left gazing at my cleared out dash (no light) but once I get home it comes on again as I was pulling in the parking lot. So, I bring it back AGAIN the next day and this time they say that they will replace all sensors and I need to leave the car overnight. So guess what I get as a loner car??? That's right, an 08' Civic Sedan. At first impression I was like "Cool... Civic". Now the only time I have every had the pleasure of driving the new Civic was the four door SI. I was impressed by the top end of the six speed and the overwhelming K20 engine. The beautiful navigation and the killer shift light had my full attention. But after leaving the lot and taking the long way home (S curve test drive) I was unsatisfied. Just like my wife after a night of me drinking whiskey (Whiskey D!%K). So as I joyride the rest of the night I notice how crappy the stereo is, how big the dash is, and how awkward the gauges are, and the enormous R18 had very little pickup. All-n-all, this thing was SLOW! When I returned today to pick up my Fit, the first thing I did was smile at it's perfection as I slid into the bucket seat and chirped the tires as I exited the lot.

Our car is with out a doubt (in my opinion) 10 times more sporty than the four door Civic EX. I have owned several Civics in the past and I must say, as a die hard fan, that was a huge disappointment. For those of you who own this car, I mean no disrespect and hope you take my thread like a grain of salt. But for those of you who own a Honda Fit, congratulations! You made the right decision!!

I average like 25 to 30 mpg. You know what that means. :vtec:

I keep the rev's high and get around 29-31 ever since I've had it. I'm only at 6,300 miles though. So that might change over time.
