I'm here in Misawa Japan. I'll be here till 2011. It's freaking awesome being in Japan and seeing all these Honda's, etc with parts we'd die for. I see Fit's with Mugen lip kits on them like it's nothing...I'll take pics of those next time.


The First shop was called Super Autobachs, it had tons of parts and sold everything new...check out the prices and tell me what you think...Conversion at that day was 107 yen to the dollar...basically just take two decimal points over to get a half assed price and you know what your going for.

Mudulo front for like 75 bucks...and some other kind for about 50



Some Seats...pretty expensive...like a grand a piece...some were about 700 a seat...not sure if it comes with rails or what...don't know Japanese



Bunch of full coilovers and other stuff







Check out this Cusco strut bar for the FD2 :P About 145 bucks...not sure how much they run in the states?



More Cusco bars...seems like most parts on the floor were for silvias and subarus



S2000 Race Header by Mugen...about 1200 US bucks



Full catback exhaust...can't remember how much or what company, think it was for a subaru though



Wheels wheels wheels and more wheels...I should have got a pic of all the wheels they had in there...crazy



About 1300 bucks and they come with tires! Usually costs us just that for Works without tires

The second shop was called UpGarage and had used parts...used turbos, body kits, etc...I found some enkeis I liked...they are 16" PCD is 500 which would work with my celica...only about 250 bucks



Tons of different exhaust...universal and specific





And some nice seats

I couldn't believe they were just letting this sit outside with the normal cars...lol...I think tomorrow I'm going to try and get a test drive...of course I won't be able to buy it...not yet anyway...this car is unbelievable. Pics don't do anything for it...in person...oh my...I can't even begin to explain...uhhhhh, it's sooooooo damn nice












I also spotted a dirty DC2 Type R on the way...it has been raining like crazy around here...today actually stopped...well, during the day anyway, as I type this up it is raining now.




Oh and here's my car...I didn't find a Honda I wanted on base for sell, so I settled for this car for only 1100 bucks. I honestly need to find a 4 door honda, or at least a civic hatch...not much room in this celcia for a rear baby seat :P It'll work though for the winters...Turbod and AWD!

Why can't they bring the RR stateside and chuck the old Mugen Si out the window?! That Civic is so ILL! And I almost bought an All-Trac years ago, same thing as the Jap GT4. Celicas rock :)

 

Nice pics. I wish I kinda joined the military just to hope to be located in Japan. I might visit there next year when the cherry blossoms bloom.

awww man... I was supposed to go to Japan for a week next month but he guy i was going to go with (he knows japanese) lost his job last week. We were going to go to TGS and then hit up some local performance shops. anyway have fun there see if you can get a test drive in the new GTR *drool* too.

 

The Muge rr cost anywhere from 40-50 grand...US dollars :o
