Spoon, Mugen, or J's Racing?

Once i get my Honda (probably an Integra) i want it to be as much one of these brands as possible? Which makes the best stuff, without costing more than the car itself?

JDMxGE8 Nov 18, 2008 05:38 PM

All three companies make quality products. In the end, it all comes down to personal preference. Personally, I'm a Spoon Whore.

yea i love all three but i'm worried spoon and mugen will become too common(if that's even possible, prolly not), plus J's is a little less expensive, i might still buy a spoon shift knob from AJ racing only $30!!

hmm like what JDM GE8 said all the brands are good but im also a Spoon Whore so ill go with Spoon... but hey put it more this way... Spoon is more like stock but nice and clean with just rims lip spoiler and side mirrors... then interior works... jsut little stuff to make your car looking nice and clean... plus the performance.. you cant go wrong with it (especially in a integra =D) Mugen is more into the Mugen look(their own unique look) with means you have to buy "body Kit" eww i hate it lol but still its nice plus their performance is also nice too... not jsut that mugen parts are soo easy to find if you have the money =) Js Racing one of the perfect one out of these too but i honestly dont know much about js racing beside their all out race cars... like what your topic said "without costing more than the car itself"

so i guess comes to a conclusion that its really up to you but like waht you said you dont want it to be more than the car than go with the Spoon look/performance =DDD SPOON FTW!!! =P

p.s
also depends what year integra =P well not really all years are great =D but still what year are you planning on getting?

hopefully a 99 or 2000 GSR i think for appearance bits i'll prolly go with Spoon and for performance i'll go with a mix of Spoon, J's, and TEIN for some coilovers. Keep givin' me feedback tho please. My mind is easily changed.

I have the TEIN Flex on my DB8 and love it! I'm switching to more aggressive coilovers soon though. The Flex doesn't cut it on the track.

Well certainly be prepared to shell out some dough for these brands. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for most of the time.

i know i won't be making any purposeless mods, initially i'll do all suspension and intake and exhaust. First thing i'll do is a shift knob cuz they're the cheapest thing.

i have found that mugen is more for the show. j's racing is all about performance. spoon is all about performance in very subtle way while retaining stock look.
im spoon biased though.

I think it comes down to what you like. The way I see it Spoon and J's Racing is more for Racing and you will see there parts for more of that. Mugen seems to be more of like a Factory after market things kind of like Mopar or Nismo. IF it was me I would go Spoon with maybe a hint of J's Racing, but then again for aslong as I can remember I knew if I ever got a honda/Acura I would get Spoon parts.
