I completly forgot about this build, what is the progress

 

should be ready to start up in a few weeks. im just waiting for the final parts i need to get it running, then after that, it should be track ready within a month (give or take a few weeks)

Are you putting the sunroof back in? Seems like a lot of excess weight for a track car. Looks good. Looking forward to seeing it finished as i'm sure you are also.

 

nah i am going to get a carbon fiber plug for the sunroof

 

The CRX is looking great! I hope I can find one that can be brought along in the same way. It will have to wait until I am close to retirement.

 

We have an '88 hatch in the honda family now, the CRX's big brother.

 

i am actually going to be parting out my crx. i bought a classic right hand drive mini cooper to build instead. i am sick of how you spend so much fucking money on a honda and you rarely get your money back. with a classic car, you get your money back and more. i am going to put the engine from my crx in the mini. here she is.

yea, there are a few companies that sell honda engine conversions for classic minis. i wanted to do a single cam D series and put a small turbo on it, but since i already have the B16, i might as well throw that engine in the car. my mini is going to be a scary fast death trap and i like it

I agree with you on the money side of things, but building a car should never be about how much you'll get for it come time to sell.
I think you should never build a car to sell, you should build a car for you.

 

What made you decide this? That CRX was looking pretty badass.
