Honda Odissey, the best family car
 

4 months after the concept was revealed, Honda started the production of the real thing.It looks good, it drives good, it has lots o space, lots of options that you can put in, it's like, the best family car I've seen, ever.

the USDM model is a tank compared to JDM.

Now the minivan is beginning to look station wagons

friggen thing looks like they got 2 cars and glue them together... wtf is going on with honda designs these days? started looking like crap from the crosstour, CR-Z, now this?

Can't speak for the Odyssey (spelled like the Greek epic), but I rented a Sienna (free "upgrade" from an Impala from Enterprise) for a week about a year ago.

Yes, it was big. Yes, it was sloppy handling. But otherwise, I was VERY impressed. It managed 22-23 around town most of the time, and brought in 31-32 on the highway (admittedly driving across the flatness that is Florida) It was smooth, comfortable, and loaded down with power features.

And yeah, the expected profile of a people carrier or MPV in most other parts of the world is far more wagonish than in the US.

The van looks great all the way until you get to the back window where it ventures from the natural lines of the car and bends down, then the big thick line cut out for the door to slide through and then the small ass bumper that doesn't match up to the sides of the car. The rear end of this vehicle is hideous!!

My daughter & son-in-law have the older style Odyssey--its a great vehicle- gets decent highway mileage. Even does well riding on rough dirt roads. Not sure I like thai quasi van look. a Van is a van--let it be or just make a damn station wagon.

The whole damn thing is hideous! Never mind the cut lines. The Ford C-Max is headed stateside, next year sometime as I understand it. Mazda better start freshening the 5 pronto.

That is a sick van. I would love to have one of those.

previa's are sick only if you go all out and do it right. Same with the odyssey though. If you half ass it, you look like a complete ricer/tool.

100% agree on the previa...i've yet to see an Odyssey done just right
