Bad new body kit
I saw this new Accord yesterday in the parking lot at Kragen while recycling my used motor oil... It's bad... Also, I believe that was styrofoam, not molding foam.

wow. are those maxima's rear tail lights?
i believe they are...... what a fugly accord!
the tails go well with the rear of the accord as it matches the arch of the quarter panel wheel arch but man... geez keep the car stock. lol
the accord looks pretty good for a sedan in stock form as long as one doesn't get the fugly wheel cover one. |
He could be the guinea pig for a legitimate body kit company, you never know. The Nissan tails are pretty adventurous for a run-of-the-mill ricer IMO
Do they even make body kids for Accord Sedans? That would be like getting the sweet kit for the Grand Caravan or LaCrosse.
(I know, the answer is probably yes. No matter how mundane a car, someone is trying to make it look like a FATF-mobile.) |
I thought the tails could pass for stock...
Its a shame when "ricers" attack :/
Works in the styrofoam industry and likes to bring his work home w/ him. :D

Does this look better?

^^^^^^ nope haha

I saw this car last week, or the week before that. What's the story behind it? Still working on a body kit?
yeah im still working on the body. the story is i love the car except for the head lights i never understood why the head lights didn't flow with the body like in the coup i also don't like driving stock, just not my thing. at the time i tried looking for body kits and bumpers. i found nothing more than a bumper lip. plus most after market bumpers for cars are to aggressive and do not match the rest of the car. i've seen in shows, companies molding foam for custom kits on corvettes and others cars. i know i had all the tools and if they could do it i could also. i did some research. watched youtube videos and had seen someone mold a car with pink insolation foam for homes. the only place i know that would have it is... home depot. the reason for hd foam is. it comes in 8' by 4' by 2" for only $15 so i thought i could cut out small peaces in the shape of my car and use hot glue to hold them. so if i didn't like it i could simply pick it off with my finger and not harm my paint. unlike automotive foam. its actually really simple to do the hard part is making sure its not a stupid looking car finished. do to family problems i was set back the last month. and also i work at the kragen lol! sorry its my only car.

To be fair, whether people like it or not, that is an insane display of creativity and craftsmanship. Oh and balls. So props where it is due.
the guy just needs to use it as a mold to get it wrapped with real CF. then it could be a nice looking kit.
Whaaaaat it's looking good.. If it works I'll will attempt it as well. I'd love to have something different from the cookie cutter kits for all the Fits now..
I'm gonna give you MADDD props for attempting this!!! I would love to see the car in person and check out how u are doing the work! U work at which kragen??
looks like an AMG front in first pic
That's my old neighborhood! Used to go to that Vons all the time.
I'll give props for the originality and work going into this. I like the Maxima tails better than the OEM ones... never thought i'd like a taillight swap like that either haha. Look forward to seeing it finished, and glad to see someone not afraid to do their own thing. |
wow.. is everyone on this forum from orange county?
anyways thanks for the comments |
