Once again, we get shafted
I know this is a Fit forum, but with the scarcity of the Fit, it's sometimes helpful to know what else is available.....
....or in this case, not available to North American buyers. http://vne-resource.iol.co.za/30/picdb/8/c/92090 This is a Kia no-name (Kia has yet to name the car) future model currently known as "ED" for European Design. And as the temporary moniker implies, it's strictly for Europe, not North America. I'm fed up with the IDIOT marketing types who think NA buyers don't want hatchbacks. The Mazda 3 hatch is one of Mazda's best selling cars in NA. Anyway, it's wheelbase is slightly larger than a Spectra 5, and slightly narrower than an Optima. Once again, we get shafted http://motoring.co.za/index.php?fSec...icleId=3345952 |
I agree with the hatchback mentality - although I feel it's more of a growing trend as people integrate fuel effeciency and cargo space into one vehicle...
I feel most of my friends prefer having a trunk, which boggles me. I've always loved hatchbacks. I'm kind of surprised; I didn't think Kia could make such an attractive car. I wonder what the interior shots will expose though... |
the euro spec civic is even sexier.

Hatchbacks were plenty in the 80s. Seemed to have died down in the 90s. But looks at all the hatchbacks now.

not my type lol

IMHO, that car looks pretty uninspiring, but i agree with you guys on the hatchbacks. My last 4 cars have all been hatchbacks, and more and more people are realizing how awesome they are. It wouldn't hurt to have another hatchback on the market, even if it is a Kia.

diesel
and they get the turbodiesel!!
"...A range of four engines will be available from launch: 1.4, 1.6 and two-litre CVVT petrol engines and an all-new 1.6-litre VGT turbodiesel." |
I agree. I wish the Civic 5-door was offered in the USA.
