http://cdn.autoweek.com/galleryimage...w.jpg&MaxW=630 By: Jake Lingeman on 1/15/2013 Nissan unveiled the 2014 Versa Note hatchback at the Detroit auto show on Tuesday. It shares the stand with a few concepts and the one-of-a-kind Nissan GT-R in Bolt gold. It celebrates the company's relationship with Olympic champion Usain Bolt. While the Nissan Versa sedan received a complete redesign last year, the hatchback continued unchanged on the previous platform. But with the 2014 model the Note name -- which has been on Nissan hatchbacks in Japan since 2004 and Europe since 2006 -- will mark the five-door version, which moves to Nissan's global small car platform. According to Nissan, the Versa Note will have best-in-class cargo space and get up to 40 mpg on the highway with help from Nissan's first active grille shutter. The Versa Note will carry the company's 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine making 109 hp and 107 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choices will consist of a new CVT or a five-speed manual. The Versa Note is available in three trims -- S, S Plus and SV -- as well as eight exterior colors. Extras include a height-adjustable cargo floor, which creates a large, flat surface when the rear seats are folded. It also offers space to hide valuables when parking the car. Other options include heated seats, NissanConnect with navigation, hands-free texting, rear-view monitor and the Around-View monitor, which gives the driver a bird's-eye view when parking. The 2014 Nissan Versa Note will go on sale in June with a base price of $13,990 for the S trim. |
BLATANT Fit copy.
Versa used to have 6MT, they changed it to 5? Will still drive like poop? |
I was surprised on the HP numbers. No mention of the cargo room with the seats down.

I wish they would show off the interior. One thing I do like on the Versa Note are the available options like heated seats and "rear-view monitor and the Around-View monitor, which gives the driver a bird's-eye view when parking". My biggest want for my Fit is an all-weather package (heated mirrors, seats).
