Debuted in 2006 as a 2007MY Toyota'shttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png official fleet website has revealed the FJ Cruiser will no longer be available after the 2014 model year. The FJ Cruiserhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png made its first appearance back in 2006 as a 2007MY and since then it received minor year-over-year tweaks but nothing very significant. The current model is powered by a V6 4.0-liter engine mated to a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission which send power to either the rear wheels or to an all-wheel drive setup. This announcement comes somewhat as a surprise as it was only towards the end of July when Toyota's chief in the United States, Bill Fay, said the company will continue making body-on-frame trucks. Whatevs. That is a fine off-road car but why look beyond the Jeep Wrangler if that's your game?
I'd be more upset if they cancel the Tacoma. Oh .. |
