No dealership was closed, was automatic would like to test drive a 6 speed manual. The 2.5l is suppose to be released with a 6 speed. the initial cars are built in Japan. Mexico goes online next year.

Yep, that back window is a no go for me. Two things I can't stand: when manufacturers hide the oil filter behind the exhaust manifold and when the rear window is so small, it isn't worth having. I drive small cars because I have steered out of many accidents over the decades. If I don't have excellent visibility in a car and can't make split decisions to avoid catastrophe, I won't buy the car. That is why I love my Fit and Elantra Touring so much. The best accident is the one you don't have in the first place. That type of hatch window is the same reason I did not buy the more modern Elantra GT, instead, choosing to buy the old technology Elantra Touring.

This one comes with Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Example on the Mazda6.

I looked at the Touring before getting my Fit I liked the looks the only reason was the gas mileage that prevented me form getting one. Gas is still around $3.80 a gallon here. But really one of the few wagons offer here that is not a European high price one.

You are right very similar to the Elantra GT

This is good I like these point of views. This is really the first car since 2009 with updated Focus that I found interesting or look good. What got me looking at this was earlier this week my Wife's Daughter brought a new Elantra GT in the Dallas area. My Wife was telling how much better it rode then my Fit and I should consider one. I do not like the Elantra looks at all so I sent her a picture of the 2014 Mazda3 saying I would consider this.

But there are pluses and minuses.

(1) Dual pipes for the exhaust even on the 2.0l probably center dual would look better.
(2) Reliability on the 2013 Mazda3 has been average.
(3) The 2.5l manual does not come out until later.
(4) Mazda always sells at deep discounts. My Daughter brought a 2013 Mazda3 grand touring i list at $23k back in April or May sticker was $23k got at $18k from the same dealer. Was not end of the year clearance.
