2018 Ford Fiesta ST not coming to North America
While the new Ford Fiesta lineup includes the ST hot hatch, it will not be coming to North America. That’s right...
The 2018 Fiesta ST features a 1.5L turbocharged three-cylinder engine, with 200 horsepower and cylinder deactivation, for both enthusiasts and eco maniacs. However, we won’t be getting in any of the fun, and that brings a tear to our eye.

As a result, Ford has reconsidered selling not just the ST, but the Fiesta altogether in the North American market. CUVs and SUVs are most likely to blame, as they have been taking over wagons, hatchbacks, and even sedans.

Fiesta ST is/was manual only. Maybe you traded in a non-ST?

The Fiesta is a product of Ford Europe. They develop products for the 1st world, not the backwards armpit known as America in 2017. :D

This doesn't surprise me. Looking on cars.com there are loads of unsold Fiesta ST's out there. Even more regular ones there too. It is sad that a fun little hot hatch can't sell in enough numbers to sustain itself here.
A friend has one & I briefly looked at one along with the Focus ST as I was car shopping. After looking at those my GTI feels like it is carved out of a chunk of solid steel. I also liked the understated styling outside & in of the GTI. The ST twins seemed like snap together model kits in comparison & I couldn't handle the interior look.
