I tries to post this earlier but it ended up in an entirely different thread....somehow.
I'll try again.... OK. I'm going to nit-pick. But the packaging say's 67 Mustang. I happen to know, because my parents owned one, for a long time. But the Hot Wheel is more specifically a 67 Mustang Fastback, because my parents had a 67 Mustang (non-Fastback). I always thought the Fastback's looked "tougher" but I loved the 67 regular Mustang. The Hot Wheel, brought back some memories, As our 67, had the same vents in the hood and side vents, which I thought were really cool when I was a kid. IMO, both incarnations were really great looking vehicles |

But to this day that pretty little lady still puts up with my cars, shes now my wife ; < ) |
I always felt those 67 Mustangs were great.
I loved our 67 regular Mustang. I thought the vents on the side and the hood, gave it a really sporty look. And it was somewhat transitional, still connected to the first Mustangs, which IMO had nearly a European look to them, but starting to "Bulk Up" into the more classic muscle car look. The fastback was ahead of the curve with that look. IMO those were great vehicles. Loved the look. The only thing I didn't like about the one my parents owned, was that it was the metallic almost army or pea green that was popular with Fords at that time. Never liked that color. Years later, at some point my parents decided to have the Mustang repainted. I remember listening to them debate the color choices. I was hoping for "Black", "Red" or ANYTHING different. Disappointingly after much debate my parents decided to have it repainted the exact same color. |
nice work!
I like that u are capable of actually keeping them in their package. something i have never been able to do. i am currently in the middle of a desktop meet. and yes im almost 40 years old. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...f6cd720bf0.jpg |
One of the best presents my Son (who is now 8) has given me is the ability to shop the Hot Wheels section without looking out of place. Granted he keeps trying to escape to the Legos, Bey Blades, Pokemon cards, Transformers or some other kind of nonsense. LOL

Great displays! I really need to carve out a space at my house and do something like that. Even love the intake manifold on display. I have a Victor Jr from my SBF from many years ago that I can't bring myself to sell. Wall art would be good use for it!
Thanks for the inspiration! |

Hot Wheels/1975 Warpath/AMX II/ from red to blue
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...c54d8529e8.jpg
AMX 2 i got from a seller on ebay, ruff but the wheels are in good shape and the painting is the best part. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...71e4ecbab6.jpg Filed the seams and window openings. Rubbed the filing areas with green scotch bright and polished for an hour with 3x steel wool. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...2e929890d8.jpg This is a timeless design, the Pantra by ford was built, that was very close to the AMX 2, but only a few test AMX 2 were built but not sold as a production car. : [ |
