steppin up to 16s? i personally think a bigger wheels would look better with that lip kit. you may be one of the only fits to pull off 17s like toyotalover.

towelie Jul 12, 2008 05:01 PM

i want to go 16's but i still haven't picked a rim yet because i want something that looks good and flows well and i want something with a lip.

but for now i want to trade my weds for something else till i get my rims. like another set of 15's or anything good some one wants to trade for

Well, since you arent like all Fit owners you should be fine with +20.
Its going to rub. NO BITCHING.

+20 on 16's. Youll hate it.

towelie Jul 12, 2008 05:25 PM

dam for real :( so what should i run ray ? i want 16's with big lip. enough to look nice and flush and not rub? i know of all people you should know :)

:-/ Not sure. Mine are +35. Josh's are +35mm and his rubbed in the rear. His are pretty flush. With untouched fenders in 16's +30 to +35mm is flush. Mine dont rub even on 215/40's with my rolled fenders. Mine arnt flush because of my fenders. :(

You could try +20mm on some 195's. Stretched a tad. If anything youll need some fender rolling. Take it somewhere so if they mess the paint up they fix it.

towelie Jul 12, 2008 05:36 PM

sounds good i dont want 35 lol i already have that and i want bigger im probaly gonna go in between 20 and 30 i just got to find rims. but i really want to trade these for something else :(

Raaaaaaaaaay. Jul 12, 2008 05:44 PM

Remember same offsets with a bigger wheel looks better than a smaller wheel.
16's are hard to find with nice offsets. Unless you order them.

c_mack9 Jul 12, 2008 06:07 PM

mine are +40 and they rub and i have the front cambered to tuck them and rolled and still rub. if you have a fit and dont want it to rub, leave the stock wheels on it. just accept rubbing as a daily reminder of how badass your car looks!

SD_MR_FIT Jul 13, 2008 12:37 AM

eriel 16's would look dope on your car.

17's would look a bit nicer...only because everything is big on your car ya know?

but i want to down size to 16's. i honestly think they are the best size for the fit.

bump for some sick pair of rims. someone trade him or something.

In my admittedly narrow experience on car forums (STi and Fit forums), that is only the second time I've heard someone be really honest about rim size. The first time was on an STi forum where a guy said that 17's + race tires were lighter than 18's + race tires and what the heck were people doing putting 18's on for track days.

I would, they look beautiful, but I fear they'd lower my FE.

Bumppo, good luck and please stop tempting me.

SD_MR_FIT Jul 13, 2008 09:40 AM

heh well ive gone through 15's,16's and 17's.

ive ran them all...so from my experience, the 16's were overall the best.

for looks and for performance. dont get my wrong...my 17's weigh just as much as my 15's. but i loose some performance rocking the 17's.

that is why im sticking with the 16's...you get the best of both worlds.

15's imo are tooo small. but they do the job for performance.
