There are a few method to connect the harness.

Most simple method:
Just connect the red wire to +ve and black to -ve, this will cause it light up all the time once u start up the car, however, when the door is close, you will not see it.

Better connection:
connect the red wire to any one of the +ve inside your car, then connect the black wire to the wire behind the black node on the door location (once u open the door, you will see a black palstic bode on the car body which is the sensor). This method will let the doorsills light up only when the door is opened.

This can be connected within 1.5 hours by DIY
