what are these magnetic bolts for?

 

They collect 'magnetic' debris from the oil and transmission pan.

I see. So, these are the drain plugs for the oil pan and transmission oil drain plug. I thought that's what they'd be, but just clarifying.

 

That's worse than BMW motorcycle parts prices. Cheap alternative: buy a neodymium rare earth disc magnet, and stick it on the outside of the drain plug. It will be just as effective, and I guarantee that it won't fall off.

Yes. Not because I am selling it, but because I had a set of these on my fit for 20,000 miles. After the third oil change, I started noticing debris sticking to the end of the magnet.

 

Transmision or engine? Small bits of metal are pretty normal in transmission oil; not so good in engine oil.

 

Hey do they have all the original spoon packaging? like sealed etc? and can u do pick ups? im still contemplating but very interested.

 

Yes it has all the Spoon Packaging and the bolts are still sealed in the bag with four washers. Local pickup is more than welcome.

There was very little debris on the oil bolt. Kinda like microscopic flakes....very tiny.
