Thumbs up Skunk2 Lowering Springs Installed on 07 VBP Fit Sport

Stock Ride Height

Stock Rear Spring VS. Skunk2 Rear

Skunk2 Front Lowering Spring VS. Stock

After Skunk2 Springs Installed

Seeing Double? Notice the difference in ride height between my car and the stock ride height of the installers vehicle.

So far no problems with rubbing using 16" wheels +44 offset
Roads are still too wet to start whipping my cars into turns.
Much thanks to Lance(GettinAFit) for the install!

Special thanks to JHPUSA for offering the springs even though I DID NOT get the free shipping offered to FitFreak members - you might want to make your offers clearer next time you post up ads.

Dude, they didn't give you the free shipping? That's pretty lame for a company trying to make friends in the Fit Forums!

$20 is like 4 beers, so they're depriving you of BEER???? Thats hardcore!

Looking good man! Maybe the springs haven't completely settled yet, if you can post more pics later in the week that would help. I was thinking of going with the Spoon springs, but now we have even more options How's the stiffness of the front compared to stock?

So far, So good. I drove from Nassau Couty to Queens then back to Suffolk County without a problem. Even with a couple of extra passengers in the vehicle and the "wonderfully paved" Clearview Expressway and Long Island Expressway I didn't expeience any bottoming out.

I was worried about the resonator in the Fujitsubo B-Pipe hitting speed bumps - no problem so far. I'm still concerned about the front lip dragging on certain driveways.

I put about 125lbs worth of stuff in the rear last night to help settle the rears quicker. Looks good but now I have to readjust my HID's!

I have a thing about blue, if only Skunk2 made them in blue Yeah, the Clearview is a pita, specially getting out of the Throgsneck bridge. I'm going to wait a while to decide which springs I should get. And hopefully by then we may have more options for aftermarket shocks... those Spoon's are ridiculously expensive for a set of non adjustable dampers. I got a set of Koni Sport adjustables (yellows) for my old Civic for $523 shipped. Wonder if the Spoons are that good that they beat Konis, or they are just overpriced because they bear the Spoon badge... I'm leaning torwards the last one.

Thumbs up

yeah, they are sitting low up front but I haven't had any experiences with rubbing yet nor have I scraped the front lip! Maybe I'm just lucky?

Anyhow, I need to seriously get upgraded shocks/struts as soon as they become available for the USDM Fit.

When you guys lower these fits, do you have to worry about getting camber plates ?? Do the tires sit in a negative camber and wear out the inside of the tires when you drop em with the skunk springs ??

Wave now that you have had the springs on for a while would you share if the ride has improved or is it primarily a cosmetic benefit...lowering the body. Are you scaping when going in or out of drivewats?
TIA for your report.
Dave
