i'm guessing its from snow and the salt on the road?

AJ's ..."Made with SUS304 aircraft stainless" ...I think the runners might be made from some sort of stainless, it's mostly from the heat that truns them that way, but the flanges are something else for sure....plain steel probably. We do have salt on roads during the winter which doesnt help.

My T1R hasn't rusted down here in Georgia. I think it has to be the salt. If the new owner lives in a warmer area, it probably won't rust any more than it has.
