Ridiculous amount of SPAM
 

I have been very active on dozens of forums and have never seen anywhere near the amount of Spam as I see on here. Whats up with that? Dont we have measures to prevent this?

Well you should help out and report any spam you see....

Yea, I will. I've just never been on a forum where I had to do that before.

Because most forums have enough Mods to handle the spam ;)

I think the guys here are fairly quick at removing it.

But yes this forum get hammered.

I dont know. Spammers and hackers are on the rise and it is a very difficult for any web master/admin to deal with.
But basically it has to be stopped at new member registration, and understand that most spam is done with auto register/spammer programs.
So you could add the question to the registration "Are you human?
or ad image recognition, (those squigley goofy numbers and letters)

I would think Internet Brands (who owns this and many other forums) could get off their rears with some big time support and give the admins here some spam fighting tools.;)
