**** NEW Experience Graphs Feedback *****

So who can tell me why negative points show up???

07-05-2011
07:40 AM Krimson_Cardnal has lost -18 Experience points
12:01 AM Krimson_Cardnal has earned 10 Experience points

07-04-2011
11:50 PM Krimson_Cardnal has earned 11 Experience points
11:40 PM Krimson_Cardnal has earned 10 Experience points
11:30 PM Krimson_Cardnal has lost -20 Experience points
11:00 PM Krimson_Cardnal has lost -3 Experience points

Yesterday, at 12:01AM I earned 10points - I go to bed, log on, post a reply, then check my experience and see I lost 18 points???

Day before was even more interesting - any feedback on why 20 points were lost in the midst of a posting session???

All this 'accounting' is interesting, but if the end user can't understand it - who's it good for???

Clearly explain your rules - obviously there are rules, right?

Good question KC. Wondering about that also. Looked it up on Sid's post but not explained there either.

If you look here: Unofficial Honda FIT Forums - Activities there's more detail and you can begin to deduce what's going on, but there really needs to be a better way to link all this info together and clear definitions of all the variables would help.

I got to that off my profile page. This experiment is split all over the place.

Site organization is needed. A list of active admin and moderators would also help.

It seems like an interesting idea, but it's hard to imagine it's been 'sprung' on the forum with no lead-in. Possibly 'someone' is really monitoring this stuff. Other user forums I've been involved with have a clear voice from the administrator and moderators are actually active players in what goes on.

Freakworld has always been a bit of a 'wild-west' show, at least it seems that way to me.

Yeah I've browsed through those areas but still doesn't answer the (-) part and the criteria for it. Well, like any other site, they're all tools to quantify activites. At least here, we see them. Part of the graphics here is to indirectly (my opinion) encourage usage and constructive posting I suppose.

But yes, a good Lead-in would have been great. Nonetheless still one of the better forums - friendlier, less flame outs and egocentric postings.

I think it's a great forum - it's the freakworld!!! No other Fit forum touches it.

Reps we give each other, still there - this new system sort of credits you for what you do.... I know the invisible ones are out there, possibly they will chime in.

negative points are for things you've lost.

"discussion ender" is one such thing.

For example KC... you had 10 for it, just for this thread, because you were the last poster... until I responded. Then I get those points... because I'm now the last poster (and you lose them).

As soon as anyone responds after I do... same thing, I lose them to that person.

You don't always see a solid -10, but instead -9 (or -18) because short time periods are grouped together (you lost 20 from two topics, but got two for responding to two other topics).

So having the last word is what it's all about? This should prove to be fun... kinda like 'Tag, I'm it.'

How do you figure the 'activity%' works?

TAG! Noticed the awards went away... I'm sure there's a convoluted formula there somewhere tracking posts, logins, views, etc... for activity %.

Any clue on this one?

Color me confused...... I'd love an easy explanation on how to interpret--the past several days, I had 3 tiny symbols at the bottom of the graph and now they are gone. Why??

Maybe the admins are streamlining that part and cutting out some info. I think they were some of the awards gotten, should be able to find the ones you have in the appropriate spots of the experience page.

edit: sorry, not awards... "Achievements"

I don't mind the feature so much, I just wish there was a user guide or FAQ for it.

Hard for me to support something I don't understand, haha.

I'm wishing there were a bit more 'administrative feedback'. Isn't his forum interactive?

Hopefully we'll hear from Sid 6.7 since he made the announcement and post on all these bells and whistles.
