have you noticed any improvement with the tie bar? and does it reduce ground clearance?

along with the strut bar it tightens up the front pretty good. It reduces ground clearance just slightly.

did you paint that? and is it hard replacing?

It came painted already. You actually stick this over the stock trim piece. You just use some double sided tape to adhere.
