Can you swap TPMS to aftermarket wheels?

That is correct. you have to take it to a dealer who will match wheel signal to the computer sensor. Any time the connection is interrupted on all four wheels that will be the result.

Is there a way to just get the "TPMS" light to turn off and not have to deal with it anymore... I honestly just don't feel like going through the trouble of spending an entire day driving to the nearest dealership (which is an hour and a half away) doing this crap and then driving all the way back. I bought aftermarket wheels and I honestly don't care about not having TPMS anymore, doesn't hurt my feelings one bit

Not without the tool. We do have one that works on anyhting before 2010 year cars.

I agree with your first statement. Your second statement, however I must correct. The computer remembers 4 sensors. Any time any of those sensors is changed, it must be reprogrammed. There are "self initializing systems" in some models (some years and models of Honda's Odyssey for example) but unfortunately, the Fit is not one of them.
