Wheels and choices--Minus one?

Fit photos and colors for your wheel shopping now up and running at tirerack.com! (thanks!):)

I'll be purchasing a Fit Sport and I am wondering about going minus one!
The Kosei K1 TS in 14" would be lighter and ride quality with a 65 series tire would be better. I am wondering about a 60 series tire with this rim--any recommendations? Would the speedo/etc. errors be too great? I am eager to reduce unsprung weight and with a stickier/better tire than stock I think that I might have nearly equal handling with slightly better ride quality.

any thoughts?

P.S. what about the 15x7 K1 TS wheel won't fit? width, offset (38) or both?

Going minus one shouldnt be a problem as lolng as you have the right height tire comparable to the stock size which 65 should be.

As far as that particular size wheel and offset, I am fairly certain that it will work without any problems with a 195/65/14.

http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html has a nice size calculator.

thank you, that is most excellent!:)

um, a 195/60/14 would be much closer to the stock height than a 65 series.

The K1 Ts will fit the car no problem. I would go with the 195/60R14 for tires. I have the wheels in stock and they are 9.3 lbs.
If I can help let me know.

Thanks,
9.3# is very tempting...
It is hard to imagine I would ever put smaller rims on a car but this sounds good.

cheffyjay,

If you are considering selling those sport wheels, I'd be interested. Let me know (PM or post, whatever.)
