215s... guinea piggin' it!

So, i have a set of 16x7 +45 konigs purchased as spare wheels for track/autocross only :D I've purchased a pair of 215/45/16 Kumho XS tires for test fitment. I'm sure i can get away with them in the rear, the only question is if they'll clear the fender in the front. If it doesn't, that's ok because i'll run them in the back and go with 205/50s in the front :p I'm on stock suspension, but plan on purchasing Buddyclub N+s next year.

As soon as my lug nuts get here, i'll throw the pair on one side and take some pics of the front and rear for reference! Hope they fit, cuz the XS is incredibly sticky for such a cheap price :vtec:

update in a couple days me thinks :popc:

If I recall correctly, Ray at one time ran 225s on his GD with a +45 offset wheel. Here is his comments from the OFFICIAL FIT SHOES thread. Please go to the thread any see his image.

Name: Mx6GT89
Wheel: Integra GSR/Se Fat5's
Size: 15x6.5in
Offset: +45mm
Color: Polished, than peach, than bronze mist
Tire: Kumho 711
Size: 225/50/15
Lowered?: Yes
If Yes, What Setup?: T1R v1. Cut 2 coils off rear. F1.5in/R1.5in?
Front Rubbing: Barely
Rear Rubbing: No
Comments: Ugliest set of wheels I bought for my Fit. I could not get rid of them either. I made plenty of money back from these wheels though.
With that said, the 215s with a +45 offset should fit with stock suspension. If it does rub, it'll rub against the rear bumper's tabs located directly above the tire and for the front you can tuck the fender liner for additional clearance.

failed to mention...

I guess it's also important that this is on a GE8 (contrary to what my name suggests). I was able to mount one on the front and it works without rubbing. It does poke out a bit (i'd say 3mm) but the overall diameter is less so that with the suspension completely loaded mid corner and braking it doesn't compress enough for the tire to come in contact with the fender. Pics when my lugs get here!! :D :popc:
