Skunk 2 Short Shifter adapter VS. Mugen Short Shifter
I need help deciding which short shifter setup to get.
I have found a couple of posts about the installation of the Skunk2 adapter set and Mugen short shifter. I am looking for input from the people who drive these cars on a regular basis. Which one did you go with; why; and what are the pros and cons of your choice? I am hesitant about Skunk2's adapter. I have seen a couple of H/F series transmissions get some excessively worn synchro's because of adapters coming lose, and the set screws did have thread locker on them. I'm not questioning Skunk2's product, I'm just looking for your personal experiences from people who have either short shifter.
Also I've seen some comments about the Mugen shifter eliminating some of the slop that is felt in neutral. I was wondering if the Skunk2 version eliminated any of this slop as well?
Thanks for you input.
