Skunk 2 Short Shifter adapter VS. Mugen Short Shifter

I need help deciding which short shifter setup to get.
I have found a couple of posts about the installation of the Skunk2 adapter set and Mugen short shifter. I am looking for input from the people who drive these cars on a regular basis. Which one did you go with; why; and what are the pros and cons of your choice? I am hesitant about Skunk2's adapter. I have seen a couple of H/F series transmissions get some excessively worn synchro's because of adapters coming lose, and the set screws did have thread locker on them. I'm not questioning Skunk2's product, I'm just looking for your personal experiences from people who have either short shifter.
Also I've seen some comments about the Mugen shifter eliminating some of the slop that is felt in neutral. I was wondering if the Skunk2 version eliminated any of this slop as well?

Thanks for you input.

I got the Mugen SS. It does tighten up the shifts a bit and eliminates the slop in neutral. Big plus is that it is a full replacement and not just an adapter. I'm contemplating fixing the Skunk2 one onto my Mugen one for even shorter shifts. Super happy with my Mugen one anyways, feels great.

I have the skunk2, it does about the same of wat illusive said about his mugen SS. Im also thinking about merging both products for an even short shift. its really up to you and if you want baller status mugen? or a quick cheap fix with skunk2

which brings me to my next point...anyone wanna help me out and hook me up with a Skunk2 SS shipped to Canada for under CAD$60?!?!? Or is that even possible? Local shops are total tards and eBay wants outrageous shipping prices...

Thanks for your input guys.
Have either of you got a chance to compare/experience the other ss in person?
I'm leaning more towards the mugen shifter mainly because it is a whole assembly and I personally feel like any 'adapter' is more of a band-aid.
That's just my opinion though.
I've had experience with both an adapter and an actual replacement short shifter on my old CD5 (<-- that's not a type-o, it's a 5th gen 4 door accord not an rsx) and I was much more pleased with the replacement shifter. I'm just curious if it will be the same for the GD3.
If anyone has anymore input I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

I have the H-Fit kit combined with the Mugen lever. Shifts are super-super-short but a lot stiffer than stock. Here is the thread.

Just combined the mugen quick shift with the skunk2 adaptors and I would have to say that it takes some getting used to since the distance between shifts are short but it is perfect along with the circuit hero extender. The shifting is pretty stiff but it doesn't feel loose at all compared to stock. The only problem was that the adaptor caused shifting 1st 3rd 5th to hit the sheet metal, but a 1/4 inch lift with spacers from the back of the assembly fixed all the clearance issues. I don't see any difference between the mugen/hfit and the mugen/skunk2 combo so either route you take will be fine. If you have any questions just pm me.

I want to keep my shifter like the OEM shifter, but I would like it stiffer. Mine is real loose and kind of cheap feeling.

What is the best way for me to go? Just go with the quick shifter. and deal? Or, is there something I can use to make shifting feel better?

^^^ A heavier knob makes a world of difference in the feel of the stock shifter.
