Not sure where you live saralee, but I bought a set of Nokya yellow halogens awhile ago at a small auto accessories store at First Markham Place, in Markham (Warden / Hwy 7), if it's not too far of a drive maybe you can look into that. I think it was $40 for a set though.
You could look into Osram Night Breaker's (
Osram Night Breaker H11 from Power Bulbs )... they have a slight blue tint so it's a bit whiter... not sure if it'll be much brighter though... cause anytime there's a tint on bulbs, the light output decreases... unless the bulbs are higher wattage than stock.
